Moliere’s classic comedy translates to the heavy metal music scene in the ASU School of Theatre and Film's MainStage Season production of The Misanthrope. Original music composed by the play’s lead actor, a set featuring a mosh pit and a hot tub are the hallmarks of this rock adaptation of the17th century work. The Misanthrope is translated and adapted by Lauren Marshall, based on a concept by Alan Craig Di Bona. Directed by William Partlan. (This show contains nudity, mature language and themes and may not be appropriate for younger audiences.)
